General Questions

We treat children without diagnosis as well. What matters is the day-to-day performance of your children, not the diagnosis.

Evaluations last for 1 hour. The therapy sessions are typically 1 hour, encompassing direct therapy, parent education, and transition time. Recognizing that children may have varying attention spans, the therapist will recommend the ideal session duration—30 minutes, 45 minutes, or 60 minutes—during the first visit.

Usually children receive therapy 1-3 times a week. It depends on your child’s particular needs. The therapist will discuss with you about your child’s and your needs. We will tailor an individual plan based on the goals as well as the findings from the evaluation.
Every child responds to interventions differently and progresses at different paces. Also, depending on your child’s challenges and needs, the duration of therapy varies. For example, children with autism spectrum disorder typically require therapy for a longer duration because they often have challenges in multiple areas of their life such as self-care skills, fine motor skills, or sensory processing, rather than a child who is only focusing on handwriting. The majority of clients report progress after 3 months. Some may find that their children require more time as behaviors and social-emotional skills take time and practice.
A cancellation must be made 24 hours before the therapy session. Exceptions to the cancellation policy will be made for children who are ill the day of and notice is received by 8 am. Therefore, please call, leave a message on your therapist’s voice mail, or send a text message if your child is sick. If you wait until right before the appointment to call and cancel, you will be billed for the missed appointment.

Insurance Questions

We are classified as out-of-network providers. We can provide Superbills for you to submit to your insurer, allowing for potential reimbursement and/or application toward your deductible, if needed. These Superbills include treatment codes, diagnostic codes, and other necessary information for your insurer.

The amount you’ll be reimbursed depends on your specific plan with your insurance provider. Before they compensate you, most insurance providers may require you to meet a deductible. To find out about your out-of-network benefits, it’s suggested that you contact your insurance provider. You can do this by calling the number on the back of your health insurance card.

We do not accept Medicaid.

Payment is accepted via cash, check, Zelle, and Venmo.
